Director

Sharon Eichenlaub

Sharon Eichenlaub was born in South Carolina and traveled up and down the east coast as her father followed construction of I-95 bridges. Raised in a Christian home, Sharon has been active in church most of her life and discovered a creative talent to write stories and scripts for plays. Following residency in Florida for 25 years, she moved back to Richmond to marry her high school sweetheart, Dave. Aside from being a devout wife and mother, and the business manager of a local radio station (ESPN950AM), Sharon currently serves Bellwood Baptist Church as a teacher for the S.A.L.T. class, a teacher for Children’s Church on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings, a financial auditor, an assistant Teen Leader, and director of Butterfly Productions.

Butterfly Productions is Bellwood’s Children's Ministry. We take our focus on God, and use it to light up our life through song and dance. The children learn valuable life skills and learn all about God and the Bible. The children at this church have been doing some amazing things and have been planning even more for the future! This includes plays, puppet shows, holiday performances, and many more ways to worship the lord. All children who join the program are asked to sign a photo and video release form giving us consent to take pictures and videos of your children to use on the website and for slideshows at the church.

Since its initial production in December 2007, it has been amazing to watch young children grow and serve the Lord, realizing that God is not yet finished molding us. We know Jesus is the Light, the Way, and our Hope for Victory and Success. Just as a butterfly struggles to free itself from bondage to blossom as a free-spirit, God transforms us into His messengers. We claim II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
